Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Technician for our Crisis Center in Jefferson City. This PRN, as-needed position requires weekend and evening availability to support individuals in crisis and ensure safe, compassionate care under supervision.

Join a team that focuses on safety, daily living support, and collaborative care. Previous psychiatric or ER exposure is preferred, with training opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency care experience preferred.
• High School/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met.
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training).
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care.
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Make a difference every day — join us as a Behavioral Technician and provide compassionate support to individuals in crisis. Schedule: PRN, As Needed. Weekend and evening availability required.

As a Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor BHCC) at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC), you’ll ensure individuals receive the care, comfort, and support they need during a behavioral health crisis. Working under the supervision of the Triage Clinician Lead, you’ll play an important role in maintaining safety, assisting with daily needs, and helping people feel supported and valued during a difficult time.
