Position Overview: As a Behavioral Technician (BT), you will work with children diagnosed with Autism and related developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition plans across various settings, assist with parent training, and collect data to monitor client progress. In the absence of the Lead Behavioral Technician or ABA Interns, you will assume their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA techniques in 1:1 or group settings to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Track client behaviors and progress using specified protocols.
- Support caregivers in implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, Lead Behavioral Technicians, and other team members to assess and improve client programs.
- Follow safe handling and intervention protocols, maintain a clean therapy environment.
- Attend required training and maintain certification.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Preferred experience working with children in classroom or 1:1 settings, or implementing ABA principles.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assume various postures for extended periods.
Training and Certifications:
- Required: CPR, Background Check, and RBT certification (training provided).
- Ongoing professional development to maintain certifications and stay current with best practices.
