Job summary

LifeStream Behavioral Center in Beverly Hills, FL is seeking a Behavioral Tech II to provide advanced support to individuals with behavioral health needs on a day shift.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, implement care plans, document progress, and participate in safety training including TEAM restraint and de-escalation. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Job Purpose:

- The Behavioral Tech II is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support to clients. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals and improving their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • - Monitor and support clients through direct observation and interaction, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • - Implement and follow individualized care plans and treatment protocols as directed by clinical staff.
  • - Assist in the development and facilitation of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
  • - Document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • - Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint training and verbal de-escalation training.
  • - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client care strategies.
  • - Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • - Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols.
  • - Support the onboarding and training of new staff members by sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • - Continuously update skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
QualificationsRequired Education:
  • - High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Experience:
  • - Minimum of One (1) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting is required
  • - Desirable to have experience working with psychiatric or co-occurring consumers of all ages
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • - Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • - Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation and case notes.
  • - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • - Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards in behavioral health services.
  • - Competency in utilizing technology and electronic health records for client management.
