Job summary

St. Joseph’s Villa is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to join the Villa Education Center. Under the Clinical Supervisor, you will assess students’ behavioral needs and design plans to support classroom staff in implementation.

You will be part of the treatment team, coordinate services, and maintain accurate records in line with licensing. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with a salary of $22.10 per hour.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 2+ years working with children with behavioral or developmental disabilities, preferably in a special education setting.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred; Virginia driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active member in a team approach to the delivery of services to students.
• Serve as a member of the Treatment and Resource Team.
• Assist Treatment Specialist in coordinating and participating in the treatment teams for his/her service, with treatment decisions and follow-through.
• Provide consultation to teachers regarding implementation of behavior plans.
• Develop and implement behavior plans, objectives and methods based on assessments.
• Oversee training on and implementation of the behavior management system for each student.
• Monitor progress and data collection of behavior management to evaluate effectiveness.
• Attend staff meetings and parent conferences as needed.
• Liaise with community casework and wrap around services staff for holistic planning.
• Work with teachers and staff to support students in crisis with effective interventions.
• Design and participate in in-service trainings on innovations in the field.
• Provide professional behavior support services to students and families, individually and in groups.
