Responsibilities

• Maintains cooperative relationships with staff, students, and the public.
• Enforces district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
• Assist individual students and small groups with behavioral needs under teacher guidance.
• Monitor students with special learning needs during activities.
• Direct students to safe, appropriate learning and play activities.
• Assist in managing acting-out behavior using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Prepare instructional materials and learning aids for behavioral needs.
• Maintain records and files related to instruction and behavior.
