Job summary

HeartShare is seeking an experienced Behavioral Specialist to provide comprehensive behavioral support and intervention services across our Brooklyn and Queens sites. You will observe, assess, and implement treatment plans, collaborating with families and teachers to ensure progress while maintaining records in Connections.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong knowledge of behavioral theory and ABA, excellent communication, and the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some commuting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience working with clients with special needs (ages 2–21) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral theory and ABA.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Willingness to commute to Brooklyn/Queens; hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assess client behavior.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to address behavioral issues.
• Support clients throughout the treatment process.
• Communicate with clients’ teachers, caregivers, and families to implement treatment plans.
• Monitor and record treatment progress.
• Conduct assessments to determine clients’ improvements.
• Maintain client records and treatment reports in Connections.
• Collaborate with other healthcare specialists.
