Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Malden, MA, is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join our Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. You will work in residential or community settings to support adults with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities include providing interventions, ongoing symptom assessments, aiding recovery goals, ensuring culturally competent care, and assisting with transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience working with adults with mental illness.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
  • Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
  • Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
  • Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences
  • Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

Behavioral Specialist I

Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist I to join our dynamic Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. ACCS provides clinically focused evidenced based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Services are person centered and are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in either residential or community based settings. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to adults facing severe and persistent mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

Schedule
  • Sunday 8am-4pm, Monday-Thursday 11am-7pm
