Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee all camper behavior issues at camp.
- Work with staff to learn behavior management techniques and handle behavior issues, coordinating with GWRYMCA Child Care / Inclusion and Adaptive Support Department.
- Document all behavior-related incidents and follow the communication plan.
- Collaborate with counselors, support staff, program director, and parents to meet individual needs and establish behavior goals and modifications.
- Report incidents related to child abuse, camper conflicts, or injuries during behavior incidents.
- Modify camper behavior with the help of counselors and unit managers, documenting each case.
- Ensure unit managers check in with cabin counselors and maintain proper documentation.
- Observe behavior throughout camp and provide consultation to staff on behavior issues.
- Teach behavior management skills and documentation during staff training and throughout the summer.
- Supervise program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
- Train, develop, schedule, and evaluate staff and volunteers; motivate staff to achieve goals.
- Coordinate facility use for activities and events.
- Maintain camp grounds and facilities.
- Schedule activities for cabins and units, and coordinate all-camp programs.
- Supervise cabins, clinic areas, and area directors to ensure proper programming.
- Implement safety standards across all programs.
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Assist in staff training and ensure effective camper learning and project completion.
- Coordinate meal hosting and cabin placements.
- Motivate, train, and lead staff during the summer season.
- Complete required documentation accurately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Missouri Class E Driver's License (or equivalent) preferred.
- 21 years of age preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of camp staff experience.
- Completion of or willingness to obtain YMCA program-specific certifications.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
