Job summary

The Neta Lab Technician at San Diego State University supports psychology and behavioral science research within Dr. Neta’s program. You will coordinate participant recruitment, manage research data, and ensure IRB compliance while collaborating with faculty, students, and staff.

This temporary, full-time role focuses on organized, detail-oriented support for multiple studies, with hands-on coordination, data handling, and careful documentation in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with IRB processes and documentation for human subjects research.
• Experience coordinating recruitment, scheduling, and study logistics across multiple projects.
• Experience organizing and securing research data and documentation with strong data entry skills.
• Ability to prepare study materials, consent forms, and research documentation with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling, and study logistics while supporting multiple research projects and maintaining project timelines.
• Manage IRB processes, including protocol submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, and regulatory documentation for human subjects research.
• Organize, maintain, and secure research data, participant records, and study documentation in compliance with confidentiality and data security standards.
• Prepare research materials, consent forms, study supplies, and other resources needed to support ongoing behavioral research activities.
• Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, undergraduate researchers, and community partners to support research operations and project success.
