Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children2s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Behavioral Research Coordinator I to join our AMP Lab team.

You will oversee start-up to close-out activities, coordinate with departments, and manage study documentation, while maintaining regulatory standards and ethical conduct. You will help deliver interventions, recruit participants, and prepare materials across NIH-funded projects that use surveys, video-based measurements, and REDCap data flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; a combination of education/experience may be considered.

• Proficient analytical skills with ability to adapt to various technological systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with behavioral research projects, including study start-up, protocol coordination, and close-out activities.
• Maintains adherence to study protocols and regulatory standards.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure effective implementation of research projects.
• Supports development, implementation, and tracking of studies with minimal supervision.
• Assists in preparing protocols, informed consents, recruitment materials, and maintains study documentation via regulatory binders.
• Identifies, recruits, and guides eligible participants through informed consent/assent.
• Assists in delivering behavioral interventions and arranging study visits; provides instructions to participants and families.
• Abstracts data from medical records and enters it into case report forms and REDCap; prepares data for analysis.
• Creates and updates research-related forms, templates, and assists in managing participant reimbursements.
• Conducts literature searches, assists with QA/QC procedures, and tracks deadlines for grants and deliverables.
• Promotes ethical conduct of research by participating in educational meetings/conferences.

The AMP Lab (sites.northwestern.edu/amplab/) at Lurie Children's Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Research Coordinator I to join our dynamic team conducting research that supports heart health across generations-from mothers and babies to teenagers. Our NIH-funded studies use innovative virtual methods including surveys, video-based measurement sessions, and electronic health record data to reach families where they are, rather than requiring in-person visits. As a coordinator, you'll have genuine ownership over projects-not just recruitment and protocol management, but creative work like developing videos, animations, and participant materials; designing efficient processes; collaborating across teams; and communicating directly with participants. We conduct mixed methods research spanning epidemiology, intervention development, and behavioral clinical trials, which means varied skills and talents flourish here. Essential Job Functions:

• Assists in delivering behavioral interventions and arranging study visits; provide instructions to participants and their families.
• Abstracts data from medical records and enter it into case report forms and electronic systems such as REDCap; prepares data for analysis.
• Creates and updates research-related forms, templates, and assists in managing participant reimbursements.
• Conducts literature searches, assists with QA/QC procedures, and tracks deadlines for grants and deliverables while adhering to research protocols and compliance regulations.
• Promotes the ethical conduct of research by actively participating in research related educational meetings/conferences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Pay Range

$46,280.00-$75,670.40 Salary
