Job summary

Merrimack College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach an undergraduate laboratory section of Behavioral Neuroscience (PSY3150) beginning Fall 2026. The role focuses on hands-on experiments and data analysis to reinforce lecture content.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Neuroscience or Psychology, with preferred PhD and experience teaching lab courses or with neurophysiological methods. The position is subject to a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in the content area(s) of the course(s) being taught.
• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely related discipline (preferred).
• Experience teaching graduate-level courses (preferred).
• Applied or research experience involving neurophysiological methods, human behavioural testing, or related laboratory techniques (preferred).
• Experience with lab equipment and/or software relevant to behavioural neuroscience instruction (e.g., EEG, physiological recording, behavioural tracking software) (preferred).
• Familiarity with APA and SIOP principles and guidelines (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate laboratory section of Behavioral Neuroscience (PSY3150).
• Reinforce lecture content through hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and data collection/analysis activities.
• Indicate experience teaching laboratory or applied science courses in application materials.
