Job summary

Broward County Public Schools is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support students with behavior interventions across individual, small group, or classroom settings. You will aid in data collection, develop and implement intervention plans, and train staff in behavioral strategies.

Position requires working with behaviorally complex children, data-driven decision making, and adherence to district policies. 189-day calendar and hourly compensation are noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience working with behaviorally complex children.
• GED or high school diploma required; associate degree or 60 credits acceptable.
• Must have computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Collect data within the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Develop and implement behavioral programs and intervention plans.
• Assist staff in methods to implement behavioral systems.
• Teach appropriate behavior to students and monitor progress.
• Monitor and share recommendations for intervention with staff.
• Supervise students requiring behavioral intervention.
• Follow School Board policies and safety rules.
