Cooperative for Human Services Inc. in North Reading, MA is seeking an Assistant Program Director for our behavioral home. You will support the Program Director, help shape routines, and promote engaging activities for adults with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with adults with disabilities.
• MAP certification preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification required before starting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs+.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in ensuring the operational side of the program.
• Assist in the development of the routines of the program.
• Form meaningful relationships with individuals we serve.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living including laundry, cleaning, cooking, meal prep, and personal care.
• Promote healthy, engaging activities (outdoor, gardening, sports, puzzles, art, music).
• Administer medications.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Ensure safety and well-being by monitoring relationships for abuse/neglect, responding to health needs, and reporting emergencies.
• Help create a home environment reflecting individuals' preferences.
