The Opportunity
DYS is seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 to oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychosocial interventions with youth, including individual, family, or group counseling, testing, and education; develop intervention goals and objectives to educate and resolve clients' problems; participate in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals; interview youth and their families to establish case goals; assess clients and determine specific intervention techniques; monitor youth responses to treatment and evaluate progress.
- Maintain necessary data documents to meet federal, state, and local agency requirements, including social histories, admission and aftercare summaries, court documents, and completing required forms.
- Serve on treatment and program development teams, attend training, intradepartmental meetings, and court hearings; establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities and agencies to coordinate referrals and follow-up services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership skills, commitment to excellence, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, trauma responsiveness, and solution-oriented approach.
- Licenses: LCDC II, LPC, LSW, MFT, or RN with relevant mental health specialization, with specific requirements as per Ohio licensing boards.
