Madisonhealth in Rexburg, Idaho is seeking a Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide targeted nursing interventions for patients in psychiatric crises or with substance use disorders. Under RN or prescriber supervision, you will maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and adapt the care plan to fluctuating clinical stability.

The Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides targeted, dependent nursing interventions for individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, substance use disorders, or acute mental illness. Operating under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or authorized prescriber, the LPN utilizes their education and scope to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and patient care. The LPN maintains a highly collaborative relationship with the supervising RN to adapt the plan of care based on the patient's fluctuating clinical stability. She/he is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice, foster open communications and treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

1. Interpersonal communication skills.
2. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic Windows based programs.
4. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
5. Facility designated de-escalation training within one year of hire.
6. Possess good interpersonal skills so that they can communicate with the patients and the staff.
1. Prior psychiatric or behavioral nursing experience preferred
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Maintains current LPN license within the state of Idaho.
