Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator on the Behavioral Health Unit. This PRN Days position runs 10:30am-7:00pm and supports the nursing team with clerical duties.

Responsibilities include answering call lights and phones, stocking and inventory of unit supplies, maintaining patient chart folders, greeting customers, and keeping the nursing station neat. A High School Diploma/GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Secretarial activities of the nursing unit.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
• Maintaining patient chart folders
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
