Behavioral Health Therapist, Seaford Elementary Schools (10-month position) (Finance)

Nemours is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (10 months) to join the Nemours Children's Health team in Seaford, DE, working in Seaford Elementary Schools as part of our School-Based Health Centers. This position follows the Seaford School District teacher calendar, including 1-2 weeks before and after the school year. The position is expected to start mid-August 2025.

We are looking for a counselor/therapist skilled in working with interprofessional medical and educational teams to deliver integrated, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include providing group and individual therapy, consultation and coordination with teams, screening and referral, and participating in professional development. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude are essential to make a positive community impact.

Essential Functions
  1. Participate in daily activities within the SBHC team and coordinate with the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours.
  2. Engage in teaching, training, and mentoring activities.
  3. Support diversity in hiring and retention practices to foster a diverse workforce.
  4. Participate in continuous learning through educational opportunities focused on health equity.
  5. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited program.
  • Delaware licensure (LCSW, LPCMH, LMFT) required prior to start; out-of-state license holders must obtain Delaware license before employment.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
