The Role You’ll Contribute

Provides behavioral health therapy services.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team

• Conducts comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments, and establishes therapy treatment objectives.
• Provides referrals within the agency and community.
• Administers individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Documents observations and maintains records, adhering to confidentiality protocols.
• Evaluates patient progress and therapy effectiveness.
• Provides information about community resources and therapeutic activities.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure continuous care.

• Maintains clinical skills, including knowledge of DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5, community resources, payor source identification, and short-term intervention strategies.

• Evaluates patient data and develops and implements treatment plans.
• Performs psychosocial assessments within 60 hours of admission to determine social service needs, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
• Identifies and intervenes for suspected abuse, with sensitivity to age-specific concerns.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, providing clinical input.
• Formulates discharge plans in collaboration with the team, patient, and family, scheduling outpatient appointments upon inpatient discharge.
• Coordinates the continuum of care between Behavioral Health Programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the involuntary commitment process.
• Participates in Emergency Notification System as applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences needed:

• Masters degree and 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment, except in Kansas).
• Kansas License.
• Formal De-escalation Training (must be obtained within 90 days).
• AHCA Level II Fingerprint Background check if applicable.
