The role you’ll contribute:

Provides behavioral health therapy services.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

1. Conducts comprehensive assessments to include risk assessment and establishes therapy treatment objectives.

2. Provides referrals for patients within the agency and community.

3. Administers individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

4. Documents therapy observations and maintains records, while adhering to confidentiality protocols.

5. Evaluates patient progress and therapy intervention effectiveness.

6. Provides patients information about community resources and therapeutic activities.

7. Works directly with patients, family members, physicians, and community providers to ensure collaborative and continuous care.

8. Maintains solid clinical skills including knowledge of DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5, community resources, process of payor source identification, and short-term intervention strategies.

9. Evaluates patient data, develops and implements a treatment plan for the patient.

10. Responsible for performing psychosocial assessments on patients to determine social service needs, diagnosis and treatment plan. The assessment to be completed within 60 hours of admission.

11. Identify and intervene for suspected abuse, including sensitivity to age-specific concerns.

12. Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, providing clinical input.

13. Formulates discharge plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team, the patient and the family. Assure outpatient appointments are scheduled upon inpatient discharge.

14. Coordinates the continuum of care of patients between Behavioral Health Programs.

15. Demonstrate working knowledge of the involuntary commitment process.

16. Opt-In participation in Emergency Notification System as applicable to facility.

17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Masters and 2 years experience.

• BLS certification – must be obtained within 90 days of employment (not applicable to the state of Kansas).

• Kansas License.

• Formal De-escalation Training – must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

• AHCA Level II Fingerprint Background if facility applicable.
