Salary:

Starting at $50,000.00

About the Position:

With supervision, provides assessments; individual, marital, and family therapy; and education services to a diverse clientele.

A Typical Day as a Behavioral Health Therapist:

  • Conduct family-centered, inclusive, trauma-responsive, and strengths-based assessments of the behavioral health needs of individual youth and adults, couples, and families;
  • Partner with clients and identify collaterals to develop treatment goals to address their presenting issues and needs;
  • Build on client strengths and provide goal-directed mental health therapy and counseling services to clients
  • Offer services at times convenient to clients to include some evenings;
  • Coordinate services with and provide consultation to other systems on behalf of clients, such as schools, medical providers, case workers/care coordinators, etc.
  • Document services as required by legal statute, funder requirements, and agency policies.

Location:

815 2nd St. LaSalle, IL 61301, with willingness to provide counseling services to clients through various modalities (individual, couple, family, group, in-office, outreach, telehealth) based on client preference and need

Work Hours:

Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based on the availability of clients.

Does the Following Apply to You?

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical position (preferred)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Obtain an insured vehicle
  • At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
