Job Overview

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Behavioral Health Therapist II to support the offices in Pittsburgh.

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to be part of a collaborative care team that provides behavioral health assessments and treatments to patients with behavioral health diagnoses. This includes outpatient treatment programs or equivalent services.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches appropriate to patient needs.
  • Conduct assessments of new patients, document clinical decisions, and adapt treatment models accordingly.
  • Assess and incorporate changing patient needs into treatment plans across various programs.
  • Review and update treatment plans regularly based on patient progress and program guidelines.
  • Provide individual and family therapy within pediatric practice, maintaining a schedule of 35 sessions per week.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education (school counseling), or a related field.
  • At least two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation, assessment processes, and current DSM guidelines.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required.
  • Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 clearances required.
