Job summary

UPMC's Western Behavioral Health is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist I to join the Adult Mood and Anxiety Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospital Programs team in Wexford, PA. The role delivers evidence-based therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and related conditions, in-person and virtually.

The position offers daylight weekday hours, free parking, growth opportunities, licensure supervision, and ongoing learning. A sign-on bonus up to $7,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and DSM Principles preferred.
• Experience treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Completes same-day clinical documentation for service authorization.
• Reviews cases and patient condition changes with supervisor and clinical team.
• Assesses and updates patient needs and treatment plans.
• Conducts new patient assessments under supervision and implements treatment models.
• Provides individual and group therapy, engages families, and educates patients on recovery.
• Documents all patient interactions and case management activities.
• Discusses additional service needs with the clinical team and makes referrals as needed.
• Participates in treatment team meetings to review and update treatment plans.
• Maintains daily clinical productivity records.
• Creates comprehensive treatment plans for patients with diverse needs.

UPMC's Western Behavioral Health is looking to hire a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist I to join their Adult Mood and Anxiety Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospital Programs team in Wexford. Wexford IOP is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services both in-person and virtually to adults facing a variety of challenges. We support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This position will work Monday-Friday daylight hours. This role/location provides free parking, opportunities for growth/advancement, clinical supervision for licensure, and additional learning opportunities.

• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM preferred.
• Experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions preferred.
