Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team, providing assessments, individual and group therapy, and treatment planning for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. The role splits time between Shelbyville and Lewisburg clinics to ensure consistent care.

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in a relevant field and clinical experience; license-eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, MH Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy; license-eligible preferred.
• Experience treating mental health and substance use disorders; clinical practicum/internship acceptable.
• Clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic rapport with clients to build trust.
• Perform diagnostic assessments and risk screening for substance use.
• Complete documentation within 24 hours.
• Provide individual therapy and may include family sessions.
• Develop, write, and revise treatment plans with client input.
• Apply evidence-based interventions for mental health or substance use disorders.
• Maintain timely progress notes per agency guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors and cover urgent care as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
