Job description

Join us as a Behavioral Health Therapist in the Behavioral Health Unit (Per Diem) at TieTalent

This role involves providing behavioral health clinical services across various settings, including hospitals, emergency departments, primary care, and ambulatory behavioral health clinics.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • Provisional license in New Mexico as LMSW or LMHC
  • Completion of prevention and management of aggressive behavior course within 2 months
  • BLS certification within 6 months
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced assessment and referral skills in behavioral health
  • Experience with crisis intervention, case management, and referral processes
  • Knowledge of psychopathology and ICD-10 diagnoses
  • Ability to develop and lead therapeutic groups (e.g., CBT, psychoeducational, DBT)
  • Experience in emergency assessment and transfer procedures
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations
  • Physical and emotional capability to work in a behavioral health setting, including potential emergency interventions
  • Scheduled on-call availability and ability to respond on short notice

Preferred experience includes work in a human services agency. The role reports to the Director or designee of Behavioral Health Services.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Includes exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and the physical demands of patient care, including lifting, transfers, and crisis management. Ability to work in hazardous situations and handle stress is essential.
