Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted license as a LMFT or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, with focus on addiction and mental health.
  • Proven experience with crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing.
  • Proficient in EMR documentation and clinical documentation.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic services for individuals, families or groups, including addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Regularly document clinical notes, treatment plans, and patient progress in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for case management, coordinating care and advocating for patient needs.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Implement conflict resolution strategies to mediate disputes or misunderstandings that may arise during treatment.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments to understand the impact of social factors on patients' mental health.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest research and best practices in behavioral health to ensure delivery of effective and innovative care.
