What You’ll Do
  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy across home, school, clinic, and community settings
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising BCBA

  • Support behavior reduction and skill acquisition using trauma-informed, assent-based care
  • Collect accurate data and complete clinical documentation (e.g., session notes, progress updates)
  • Collaborate with BCBAs and the clinical team to ensure high-quality care
  • Build professional, supportive relationships with families
  • Participate in supervision, IBHS-required meetings, and ongoing training

BCBA Intern Opportunities

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of 40-hour RBT Training through an approved course sequence
  • BHT qualifications in accordance with Pennsylvania IBHS regulations
  • Ability to work with children with autism or behavioral health needs
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred
  • RBT Certification
  • Experience in ABA or working with children
  • Enrollment in or plans to pursue ABA coursework (for internship track)

Compliance & Professional Standards
  • Implementation of services in accordance with Pennsylvania IBHS regulations
  • Adherence to ethical standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Completion of required clearances and training before beginning client-facing services, including:
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • PA Criminal Background Check
  • FBI Fingerprints through the Department of Human Services
  • Mandated Reporter Training (Act 31)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Completion of Act 24: Arrest and Conviction Disclosure Form
  • Completion of ACT 168: Sexual Misconduct Child Abuse Disclosure Form (Completed for each current and former employer)
  • TB Test
  • Health Appraisal
  • Participation in required supervision and monthly meetings
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to actively engage in sessions (play, movement, floor work)
  • Ability to respond safely to challenging behaviors (e.g., elopement, aggression)
  • Ability to lift (up to ~25–50 lbs), bend, kneel, and move quickly as needed
  • Ability to work in various service settings
