Position Overview

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Shift: Weekends (1st, 2nd, 3rd shift)
Join our team to make a difference in recovery! Are you passionate about guiding individuals through their journey from substance use disorders? As a BHT, you will monitor treatment plans and engage in clients' recovery processes.

About Us

Wise Path Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, is dedicated to helping individuals recover from substance use and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new clients, covering program rules, expectations, and treatment plans within the first 48 hours.
• Lead educational groups to help clients regain skills and improve psychoeducation.
• Process clients following intake protocols, complete admission forms, and facilitate entry into residential treatment.
• Administer Urine Analysis (UA), handle storage, document properly, and transfer samples for testing.
• Maintain detailed progress notes and client reports.
• Assist clients with daily living activities and recreational activities.
• Transport clients to appointments including A.A., medical, and other functions.
• Facilitate recreational and physical activities as part of recovery.
• Document incidents and complete reports promptly.
• Oversee housekeeping, meal service, and daily activities to ensure safety and engagement.
• Perform receptionist duties and relay messages efficiently.
• Identify cues for potential aggression and apply de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct basic medical tasks like documenting vital signs and weighing clients.
• Collaborate with the treatment team for informed decisions.
• Connect clients to community post-treatment resources.
• Assist clients in crisis situations related to social, emotional, and health challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Certified Peer Recovery Coach, or Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
• At least 1+ years experience in behavioral health or healthcare preferred.
• Experience in the 12 Step field or Dual Diagnosis treatment is a plus.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
