Job summary

Quadrant Health Group's Wellness Recovery Center NJ in West Windsor, NJ is seeking passionate Behavioral Health Technicians to support clinical staff in PHP and IOP settings, helping clients on their path to lasting recovery.

You will assist with client supervision, group activities, and daily program operations, while maintaining patient confidentiality and documenting observations in the EMR. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous healthcare or clinical setting preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Pre-Employment requirements including background clearance, drug testing, and health screening.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and families.
  • Assist with client supervision and safety in residential settings.
  • Document observations and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Conduct patient rounds and collect vital signs as directed.
  • Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions.
  • Transport clients to meetings and appointments.
  • Promote crisis intervention and a respectful work environment.

We are looking for Behavioral Health Technicians in West Windsor, NJ

Compensation: $18- $21/hour (Based on experience) Full-time

Shifts Available: Full Time

  • 1st Shift- 8am-4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift- 4pm-12:30am
  • Overnight- 12am-8:30am You must be available to work weekends or partial weekend shifts.

Wellness Recovery Center NJ, a proud member of the Quadrant Health Group, is seeking passionate and skilled Behavioral Health Technicians to join our growing team. Our Outpatient facility in West Windsor, NJ, provides a unique blend of traditional and holistic therapies in PHP and IOP settings, offering a path to lasting recovery. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our clinical staff, ensuring efficient and effective client flow and contributing to a positive client experience. You will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.
What You\'ll Do:
The Behavioral Health Technician fulfills the assigned role as part of the treatment team – to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Clinical Support Technician provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Interaction & Support:
  • Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to clients and their families.
  • Support clients' comfort and safety in the residential environment.
  • Listen attentively, document client behavior, and report observations to clinical staff.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
Clinical & Administrative Tasks:
  • Collect and supervise urine analysis (U/A) testing, ensuring proper reporting, documentation in the EMR, and disposal of samples.
  • Observe self-administration of medication and document thoroughly.
  • Document all medications in the hardcopy Centrally Stored Medication Log and the EMR.
  • Complete intake assessments and consents with clients.
  • Conduct patient rounds every 30 minutes.
  • Complete vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration).
  • Complete contraband searches and random room searches.
Group & Activity Facilitation:
  • Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions.
  • Transport clients to meetings and appointments.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
  • Provide crisis intervention and promote a healthy residential and working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the philosophy of all pathways to recovery
  • Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems, KIPU.
  • Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers, clinical staff, and administration to deliver high-quality care.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational and time-management skills.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Successful completion of Pre-Employment Requirements including, a criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening, is mandatory prior to employment.
