Now Hiring Behavioral Health Technicians at our Cherry Hill, NJ Facility!

PRN Days (7a-7p) & Nights (7p-7a) Available

Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to treating addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. We focus on behavioral health by providing assistance to individuals with substance abuse, addictions, and mental health concerns.

Pay Range

Minimum: USD $17.00/Hr.

Maximum: USD $20.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for observing and monitoring patients in treatment, reporting as needed, and contributing to the welfare of the organization. They assist patients in various activities and help maintain a safe environment.

They work closely with the facility leadership to ensure success by performing the following duties:

  1. Enforce facility program rules professionally and consistently.
  2. Communicate patient behaviors to supervisors and clinical team.
  3. Use verbal de-escalation techniques to address problem behaviors.
  4. Adhere to scheduled shifts.
  5. Maintain professional boundaries with patients and staff.
  6. Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and legible.
  7. Keep clinical records secure at all times.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts available during days (7a-7p) and nights (7p-7a).

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree and at least one (1) year of experience in BHT or similar role preferred.
  • Alternatively, at least two (2) years of experience in BHT or similar role if no degree.
  • Completion of ARS training through BHT I is acceptable.
  • Experience with adults preferred for adult facilities; experience with children/adolescents preferred for youth facilities.
  • Good driving record meeting safety and insurance standards.
  • State-specific license (e.g., Counselor license in Washington) required if applicable.
  • Certifications such as Medication Technician/QMAP, CBHT, CNA, or MA are preferred or required by state.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
