Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health and a division of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician PRN for the West/Adult Behavioral Health unit in Asheville, North Carolina. The role supports patient-centered care under RN supervision and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, supporting the care team, and ensuring adherence to unit policies while delivering compassionate care to behavioral health

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Prior experience in Behavioral Health preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Unit: West/Adult Behavioral Health

The Mental Health Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to behavioral health nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Mental Health Technician assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the MHT’s skills/training and the needs of the department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The Mental Health Technician complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• Prior experience in Behavioral Health
