Job summary

Amatus Health's Midwest Center-Youngstown is seeking compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians to support clients in recovery, maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, and assist admissions, transportation, and daily activities.

The role emphasizes teamwork with clinical staff, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing training; requires a diploma or GED, CDCA, and a valid driver's license; prior behavioral health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDCA required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client admissions, orientations, and transportation needs.
• Monitor client activities and maintain a safe treatment environment.
• Observe and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.
• Conduct routine client accountability checks and monitor family visits.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.
• Complete shift reports, documentation, and daily checklists.
• Support medical and clinical staff as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
