Summary
In addition to performing the role of a BHT, the Lead BHT is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. Lead BHT ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the Program Director and others as needed.
Pay
$16/hr before shift differentials
Shift
2nd shift - includes at least 1 weekend day in weekly shift
3:00pm - 11:00pm
Sunday -Thursday Days Off Friday and Saturday
2nd Shift differentials: (Monday - Friday) $1.00, Saturday and Sunday $2.00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing, and leading the team to complete duties of the BHT role on each shift, passing important information on to shift BHTs, to ensure consistency and create a positive environment
- Assist with the BHT schedule
- Complete the intake process with new clients into program
- Maintains client documentation
- Observe an document client self-administration of medication
- Coordination of client activities
- Follows objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs
- Provide client transportation
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides response including crisis intervention
- Maintains safe, clean, and orderly physical environment
- Assists with the dietary needs of clients
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team
Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience:
- High diploma or equivalent
- Prefer 2 years behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred

- A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body and compliance standards.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will require local travel. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation. Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
