Job Summary:
Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a Behavioral Health Technician II, where you will play a vital role in providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. We are looking for dedicated individuals who possess strong communication skills, a commitment to client care, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Your contributions will help foster a safe and therapeutic environment for our clients/patients, promoting their recovery and well-being.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring health, intervening in crises, and facilitating therapeutic services. You will work closely with a treatment team to ensure that each client/patient receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
  • Ensure monitoring of vital signs and signs of withdrawal, determining the need for medical intervention when critical symptoms present.
  • Facilitate therapeutic services under appropriate supervision, including individual and group sessions.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with State Regulatory/CARF/agency standards.
  • Participate as an active member of the treatment team, helping to identify client strengths and needs.
  • Assist clients in performing daily activities and encourage positive social interactions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by observing general rules of good housekeeping.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment.
  • Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Hold a Certificate from the Missouri Credentialing Board in one (1) or both of the following: Certified Peer Specialist and/or Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment.
  • Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
