Candidates are expected to have a High School Diploma, relevant enrollment in an undergraduate program, and BLS certification. This part-time position totals 20 hours per week and requires working onsite.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience preferred.

Job description

Part-Time, 20 Hours Per Week
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, Until 7:15pm
IOP - Onsite, Canton Behavioral Health Center

Summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician I, under the direction and delegation of a Mental Health Therapist , supports and assists in the care and treatment of children and adolescents, ages 12-18, admitted to the inpatient behavioral health unit.

Responsibilities:

1.Support the milieu of the environment, maintain safety, and support the implementation of ISP individualized plan of care.

2.Provides supportive care and engagement according to Hospital Policy and procedure as delegated and as a team with our Mental Health Therapists.

3.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.

Education and Experience
