Qualifications

Candidate must have an understanding of addiction, the Twelve Steps, and recovery. Core Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Technician

  • Report on daily activities and behaviors of all clients.
  • Safely transport clients.
  • Complete intake paperwork.
  • Preform body and bag searches.
  • Light cleaning
  • Ensure client safety by being alert to potential hazards.
  • Provide structure, boundaries, and a warm and caring environment.
  • Work as part of a team to provide exceptional client care.
  • Promote a positive morale and maintain professional composure.

Pay Range $15 to $19 per hour commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Qualifications of the Behavioral Health Technician

  • Valid and active Driver License is required.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • A minimum of 2-year experience working in Mental Health required.
  • Highschool Diploma or GED preferred.
  • KIPU EMR knowledge preferred.
  • Current CPR certification and First Aid preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
