Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified in TO, CPR, and First Aid Training or complete within the first 30 days of hire.

Overview

Our Level 1, acute care psychiatric facility located in Tempe is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Responsibilities

The experienced Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN in inpatient care. Under the supervision of the RN, the BHT helps patients with their activities of daily living and participates in daily shift rounds and the treatment plan process. The BHT assists in creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment, gathers information, provides crisis intervention, and conducts activities or groups assigned by the Charge Nurse/Therapist to support treatment goals. The BHT ensures a safe environment. All BHT duties are performed in accordance with the established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the hospital and those of state and regulatory agencies.
