Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join the Behavioral Health team at Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital in Hartford. This full-time, evening-shift role focuses on direct patient care, observation, data collection, and group/individual interventions to support recovery and rehabilitation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, CPR/BLS certification, and prior experience; strong teamwork, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in the Human Services.
• Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Broad practical understanding of life experiences and ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform and document vital signs, ADLs, patient observations and other patient care activities.
• Responds rapidly to emergency call lights and performs safety checks.
• Communicate effectively with patient population.
• Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
