Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Behavioral Health Support role to assist in planning and delivering patient care within psychiatric inpatient units. You provide direct care, perform EKGs and basic screens and support intake with a focus on safety and collaborative care.

Responsibilities include documenting interactions, triaging emergencies, aiding with daily living activities, and supporting treatment plans under RN supervision. A strong counseling background is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related human services experience.
• At least 1 year of college credits in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field.
• Direct care experience including counseling is preferred in acute behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Documents client behaviors observed during shifts and records in EMR.
• Accepts emergency/crisis calls and triages by needs and urgency.
• Assists residents with physical care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Contributes to treatment plans and participates in multidisciplinary teams.
