Job summary

JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a BH Technician I for Trinity Springs Pavilion to assist in basic patient care in a psychiatric setting and report to the RN.

Required: Non-Aggressive Crisis Management certification, BLS, and relevant experience by BH tech level. High School diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/EMT certifications welcome. Full-time daytime hours with potential growth within Behavioral Health.

Qualifications

• Certification in Non-Aggressive Crisis Management; must be obtained during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
• Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
• 4797 BH Tech I: 0 -1.99 years of relevant experience.
• 4798 BH Tech II: 2-4.99 years of relevant experience.
• 4799 BH Tech III: 5-9.99 years of relevant experience.
• 4800 BH Tech IV: 10+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care as assigned by the nurse, reporting and documenting results including vital signs and specimens.
• Maintains a therapeutic milieu with professional behavior and communication by engaging patients in groups and reporting needs to the team.
• Assists with admission, dismissal, and transfer of patients and secures valuables according to policy.
• Helps patients with activities of daily living and supports coping/treatment plans.
• Maintains patient safety with non-aggressive management and environmental rounds.
