Shift Details

Night position 6pm-6:30am with a set schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, including holidays and 1 additional on-call shift per month.

Role Overview

As a patient care professional at ERC Pathlight, you will be part of a team delivering hands-on treatment, therapy sessions, and support to our patients across various centers nationwide. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the supervision of the Nursing department and is responsible for the direct care of inpatient and residential patients, including patient supervision and support.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily program structure by following the program schedule.
  • Complete observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by the physician.
  • Assist patients with de-escalation and implementing coping skills per treatment plan.
  • Provide patient transportation for medical appointments as needed.
  • Take patient vital signs, weights, and urine specific gravity (may vary by location).
  • Perform other nursing support duties as assigned.
  • Support group therapy sessions as a secondary staff member (may vary).
  • Assist with morning routines and Activities of Daily Living during patient bathroom/spa times.
  • Monitor meals and bathroom activities, including flush checks for eating disorder patients.
  • Document patient observations, meals, and check-ins during shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
BHT I Must Haves
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate's Degree (Preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (Required)
  • Psych Tech or CNA experience (Preferred)
  • 6+ months of direct patient care or milieu experience (Preferred)
BHT II Must Haves
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1 year of Behavioral Health experience (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (Required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of ERC milieu experience (for internal team members only)
