Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) is currently seeking part-time Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT). This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for individuals committed to behavioral health services.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) provides specialized behavioral services based on a detailed treatment plan under the supervision of a BC, who is responsible for the treatment plan.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients.
  2. Assist parents/caregivers and/or teachers with behavior plan implementation.
  3. Monitor and intervene in challenging behaviors as outlined in the treatment plan.
  4. Collaborate with team members and support skill transfer to others.
  5. Attend monthly treatment team meetings with clients, families, and the treatment team.
  6. Complete all required paperwork within policy timeframes and provide services within authorized hours.
  7. Participate in staff meetings and mandatory trainings, complying with IBHS policies.
  8. Complete training hours: 20 hours/year for experienced BHTs; 39 hours within six months for new BHTs.
  9. Receive supervision: 6 hours on-site for BHTs with less than six months of experience; 3 hours for those with more than six months.
  10. Develop therapeutic rapport with clients, families, and team members.
  11. Attend weekly supervision with a master’s level mental health professional.
  12. Travel to client sites as required (100% travel).
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus either:
  • Completion of a 40-hour RBT training (free of charge), or
  • At least two years of experience in behavioral health services.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education) plus either:
  • Completion of a 40-hour RBT training, or
  • Minimum two years of behavioral health experience.
