Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our compassionate care team for night shift. The BHT works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling as part of the treatment team.

The role emphasizes safety, therapeutic intervention, and adherence to policies while supporting patients in their treatment goals at a leading behavioral health facility.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a behavioral health care setting is required.
• High School Diploma or GED with a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (if applicable in posting).

Responsibilities

• Monitor each patient’s location per the Observation Policy and Procedure.
• Assist with visitation in the evenings.
• Observe and document changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior or progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient.
• Comply with policies ensuring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitor each patient’s location per the Observation Policy and Procedure.
• Assit with Vistation in the evenings.
• Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.
• Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient
• Comply with the established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment

Job Requirements

• Experience working in a behavioral health care setting
• High School Diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
