Job summary

Southern Live Oak Wellness (SLOW), LLC is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join its treatment team. The role supports client safety, care, and a therapeutic milieu under supervision of the Director of Housing and Transportation.

Responsibilities include monitoring clients, documenting behaviors, and assisting with daily activities and program schedules in a structured environment. The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules and starting compensation of $17.00 per

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Position Overview

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a vital member of the treatment team and works under the supervision of the Director of Housing and Transportation. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, care, and well-being of clients, maintaining a supportive therapeutic environment, and accurately documenting client behaviors and progress.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about mental health and want to grow within the field while making a meaningful impact in clients' lives.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Employment Type

Compensation

• Starting at $17.00/hour
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience
