Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Kirksville, MO seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician I to support clients in residential and withdrawal settings. You will monitor health indicators, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include documentation, crisis response, and collaboration with the treatment team to progress individualized plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment.
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws in behavioral health.

• Monitor vital signs and respond to health emergencies, escalating situations as necessary.
• Document and maintain accurate records for medications, behaviors, and treatment progress.
• Facilitate client/patient transport as needed and adhere to medication policies.
• Educate and encourage clients to participate in program expectations in a trauma-informed manner.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to identify client strengths and needs.
