Job summary

Pathways is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide one-to-one services for children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. You will travel to client locations daily, implement treatment plans, and reinforce skills with families.

You will educate parents and young adults, set boundaries, and provide culturally aware services under supervision, requiring relevant certifications and a high school diploma with RBT training.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health certification/credentialing.
• High School diploma and completion of 40-hour RBT training.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2–24 with emotional/behavioral needs.
• Travel daily to clients' homes, schools, or service locations per treatment plan.
• Implement behavioral interventions, set boundaries, and avoid client dependency.
• Educate and train parents/adults to use skills with positive reinforcement.
• Deliver culturally aware and competent services.

About your Role:

Asa Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients’ home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision

• Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• 2 years’ priorBehavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)
• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
