A Behavioral Health Technician acts as the liaison between clients and clinical staff, focusing on providing a safe environment for individuals in recovery. This role involves assisting with intake processes, transportation, answering client questions, and helping clients adapt to the program routine. Observing and reporting any changes in clients' physical or mental conditions to medical staff, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is paramount.

Shift details: 2nd and 3rd shifts needed for Men's Housing.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1+ Years experience in Mental Health Field or relevant college coursework (preferred)
  • Ability and desire to keep patients safe at all times
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain healthy relationships with patients
  • Assist with admission processes and orientation
  • Maintain clear communication during client admits
  • Complete shift reports and checklists accurately and timely
  • Facilitate patient orientation groups or meetings
  • De-escalate and assist with patients leaving treatment AMA/ACA and other issues
  • Monitor patient locations and conduct queue checks
  • Supervise family visits for patient safety
  • Assist medical staff during medication passes (if applicable)
  • Maintain cleanliness of properties and office spaces
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings
  • Exercise professional judgment and seek assistance when needed
  • Protect patient privacy according to policies and legal requirements
