Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare’s Silvermist Recovery program in Renfrew, PA seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for 1st shift. You will support residents in a structured, therapeutic setting, promoting safety and recovery while assisting with daily activities and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the intake and admission process for new clients.
• Monitor and document client behaviors, activities, and progress.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medications, as applicable.
• Provide client transportation and supervise clients during travel.
• Coordinate and oversee daily client activities and programming.
• Support individualized treatment goals and care plans.
• Respond appropriately to client needs and assist with crisis intervention when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly treatment environment.
• Assist with meals and accommodate client dietary needs.
• Establish and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries.
• Follow all staff policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the program and clients.
