Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Schedule: 12:30pm - 11pm Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat

Role Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for assessing client needs and monitoring behavior while in the program. Under supervisor of the Director of Operations and Operations Supervisors, the BHT is responsible for daily documentation of client vitals, documenting client participation and interactions, daily transportation of clients, crisis management, and support groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of all Behavioral Health Technician duties and/or documentation within Lincoln Recovery and state mandated timelines, within HIPAA guidelines
  • Conduct client vitals according to state protocols and document appropriately.
  • Assist with new client admission intake procedures according to Lincoln Recovery policies on all new admissions (urine analysis, belongings searches, vehicle searches, and paperwork).
  • Administering detoxification protocols (completion of vital signs and rounds) on all detoxification clients.
  • Transportation of clients to appointments, meetings, and surrounding airports, etc.
  • Crisis intervention to include de-escalation of client situations, escalations to medical/clinical staff as needed.
  • Assist with supervision of clients with general household chores, cleanliness, and food preparation; clean up as required.
  • Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings, and community meetings, as assigned.
  • Recognize individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and document appropriately.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and continuous education.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • General understanding of the use and misuse of chemicals and alcohol.
  • Understanding and/or experience in crisis management.
  • Possess knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Preferred candidates should be able to work well within a team and independently, effective communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, and strong professional boundaries.
  • Preferred candidate must be sensitive to religious, ethnic, and cultural differences.


Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential functions of the job which includes standing for long periods of time, walking for extended periods of time, climbing up and down stairs, lifting up to 20 lbs., driving extended periods of time, and occasionally working in an outside environment with varying weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver’s License
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
  • Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test


Salary:

At Lincoln Recovery, we value transparency and equity. The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Entry level candidates can expect to the start at the lower end of the range. Candidates with substantial experience and expertise may qualify for compensation at the higher end of the range.
