We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician to work in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Prince George, Virginia, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) living in Fort Gregg-Adams, VA?

Centria Health seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism, implementing learning programs, collecting data on behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with your direct supervisor. You will build trust and care with the child and family in their home within 15 minutes of your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), guiding them through their developmental opportunities, including managing challenging behaviors. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized intervention plans, which may involve physical activities and exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children, including activities that may involve standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
