Description

We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician working in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Chantilly, Virginia, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) located in Chantilly, VA?

Centria Health is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Your responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data on target behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining client confidentiality, and meeting regularly with your direct supervisor. You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to directly impact the developmental growth of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

What your day will look like:

  • Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors.
  • Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises.
  • Using evidence-based techniques to engage children actively, including activities that may involve standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
